Saturday (Night) Post

Fifty-ish degree weather is nice, but in January that means trouble. It will not last. Still, it was nice to have it for the day.

What exactly is the difference between stewed and diced tomatoes?

February is coming - after the shortest month, then March. The official (if not realistic) start of SPRING!!

  1. Stewed toms tend to be whole tomatoes with celery and perhaps a few other vegetables included. Diced are just that--diced (smaller pieces than chopping). Sometimes when I have no diced tomatoes on hand for recipes, I'll cut up whole tomatoes to use instead, but I never used stewed tomatoes in place of diced. But you probably could, depending on the recipe. Keep a-writing! Love you!!
